At TradeFreedom, we’re committed to keeping your accounts and financial information safe and secure, from the moment you sign on to our trading platform to the time you sign out. As part of this commitment, we have instituted a number of security measures to help ensure the integrity of your transactions and your account information, including:
A Shared Responsibility
To ensure you are protected under the Online Security Guarantee, you must do your part too. That means it is your responsibility to abide by the terms of our customer agreements and follow the guidelines in the Safe Computing Practices section of TradeFreedom’s website. As of January 18, 2008, change your password and select a new login password for all trading platforms and your access to My Account on the TradeFreedom website. Never select a password that is the same as or similar to a default password, a previously used password or an obvious number combination such as your account number, date of birth, bank account numbers, ABM PIN number or telephone numbers. If you're still using a numeric password, please change it now to include letters and numbers. Please contact us if you need further assistance on creating a more secure password. Keep your TradeFreedom account number, login ID and password confidential. Do not divulge this information to anyone – including family members, friends, employees, bookkeepers or anyone else. Do not write this information down or keep a poorly disguised record of it.
Notify us immediately in the event of loss, theft, misuse or compromise of your TradeFreedom account number, login ID, or password. You can contact us at 1.866.8FREEDOM (1.866.837-3336).
Install and maintain up-to-date firewall and virus protection software on your PC or wireless device.
Do not respond to pop-ups, emails, or other Internet requests that ask you to reveal personal information about yourself or your TradeFreedom accounts. TradeFreedom will never send you unsolicited emails asking for your password, credit card, account numbers, etc. We will never ask you to validate or restore your account access through unsolicited email.
Review your statements and report any errors in a timely manner. Different transactions have different reporting deadlines.
Assist us in any investigation into improper access to your accounts.

1 “Unauthorized activity” means a transaction that was carried out in your TradeFreedom account through a trading platform without your permission, authorization or knowledge and where it can be established that you are a victim of fraud, theft or coercion.
